Transdisciplinary architect & design researcher

Constantinos Miltiadis is a transdisciplinary architect, programmer and digital design researcher. His primary interest lies in exploring new aesthetic and experiential forms at the intersection of design, spatial interaction, and immersive technologies. He has worked across scientific research, design consulting, UX, R&D, creative technology prototyping as well as teaching, with a focus on interactive media, exploratory gamemaking, and VR development.

He is currently a design researcher at Aalto University, School of Arts, Design & Architecture , part of the Experience Design project funded by the Research Council of Finland, where he is pursuing a Doctorate in Arts with a dissertation titled SpaceTimeCraft, expected in 2025.

Previous roles include assistant professor at the Institute of Architecture and Media, TU Graz (2015-2019), research assistant at ETH Zurich (2014-2015), and digital design consultant (2012-2015). Constantinos holds a Diploma in Architecture Engineering from NTU-Athens (2012), and a Master of Advanced Studies in Architecture and Information from the Chair for CAAD/Digital Architectonics, ETH Zurich (2014). He has also pursued further studies in computer music and spatial audio at the Insitute of Electronic Music, KU Graz, between 2018 and 2019.

His work has been presented in international conferences and seminars, published in academic fields across architectural, artistic, and videogame research, received awards in design competitions, and featured in international media outlets. Constantinos has developed and taught several original courses on creative programming, experimental game design and VR development in both academic and extra-academic settings. He is also active through transdisciplinary collaborations, curatorial works, discursive and artistic event production, exhibitions, and installations.

Outside of work, Constantinos is an avid home cook, guitarist, grappling and exercise enthusiast.
